Developing the molds for the quarterdecks took some time because the slight convex curve running the length of the deck and caprail is very subtle. The parts were cored with ½ marine ply to match the original decks they mate to, and installed with wide bands of glass tape inside and out in an effort to avoid hull-penetrating fasteners at every turn.
